Scylla's Maw: Navigating Myth

"A solitary dromon, caught between a storm-tossed sea and the colossal, jagged fangs of an ancient nightmare."

This personal piece is an exploration of scale, atmosphere, and Classical mythology. I wanted to capture the sheer desperation and awe of sailors encountering the legendary beast Scylla. The goal was to make the creature itself a part of the landscape, its jaws forming the terrible cliffs that frame the composition.
